There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear (1 John 4:18).

Love>Loneliness

Here is my random confession: I LOVE Valentines Day whether or not I have a significant other to celebrate it with or not. It’s one of my favorite holidays not because of how it makes me feel, whether it’s lonely or loved, but because of what this day represents. LOVE.

I hear a lot of people hating this holiday because they always feel lonely. To be honest, loneliness hits me too. But for some reason this year is different for me. A lot of the time when I felt lonely I use to think of who made me feel that way, but this year instead I’m thinking of who felt that way with me before… Jesus.

Jesus felt lonely.

He felt lonely when his disciples didn’t pray with Him.
He felt lonely when His friends denied him.
He felt lonely when people didn’t believe in him.
He felt lonely when he bore the world’s sin alone.

What got Him through it was thinking who He was feeling lonely for, US. What got Him through it was thinking why He was feeling it for, to become one with God’s plan. What gets me through this feeling is thinking who I’m feeling this way for, HIM. What gets me through this feeling is thinking why I’m feeling this way for, to become more one with God.

I choose Love and I choose to be stronger than my loneliness.

Happy early Valentines Day :).
